More Dancing
We had parents watch night at Sienna's dance studio last week. She was so excited to have Mom, Dad and Kensi watch her dance. The class showed us how they stretched, tumbled, followed the leader and most importantly the dances they are working on for the recital.

Dancing at Disney
We spent the past week visiting Papa in FL. It was a great trip and we all had a lot of fun. I was pretty nervous about taking my busy, busy 10 month old on an air plane for 3 hours but even she did great. We did have the screaming baby for a little while on the plane ride home, but eventually she passed out.
One of my favorite moments was at Downtown Disney. On the main stage a dance line was performing a few dances. Of course Sienna and I had to watch. As soon as I set her down, she put her hands on her hips, started shaking them to the beat, and did her best to imitate the dancers on stage. She didn't stop dancing throughout the whole performance and instantly had a crowd watching her. People even turned around in their seats to see her moves. She ate it all up flashing her "I know I'm cute" smiles. I couldn't stop giggling.
Here's a couple clips.

20 Questions
I came up with a list of 20 questions to ask the kids every year on their birthdays. I tried to do this last year with Sienna but there's a reason why they say to start it at 3 and not 2. (It was a big fail) This year, I was very impressed she focused so long and answered all my questions. I'm sure if I asked her them again today most of the answer would be different but still fun!

My Dancing Queen
Before picture day.
Sienna,
I always dreamed of having a little girl who loved dance as much as I did. When I enrolled you in class last fall, I was hoping I wasn't pushing you into my passion. Lucky for me you seem to love it more than I could have ever imagined. Last week you had your first recital. I can't even tell you how proud I was of you when you got on that stage. Everyday since, you have asked when we can do it again and when you can go back to dance class. You felt so beautiful in your Belle dress and clearly loved it!
As we made the long walk from the dressing room to the stage, you walked on your tip-toes the whole time, holding your dress out like a princess. When we stood backstage watching the other girls dance before yours, you were in awe and kept [a little too loudly] exclaiming how beautiful they were. I had no idea how you would be on stage. When it was your turn, you went without hesitation and did your dance so well. Near the end of the dance you turned to me and asked "Where's Daddy?!?" Luckily, I was able to refocus you and finish the dance. After, we met up with Nana, Grandpa, Daddy, Grammy, Kristie, Mallory and Mikayla. Everyone was so proud of you!
The night was complete with hitting up Cherry Berry.
They only allowed recording on rehearsal night. Unfortunately the sound wasn't working yet in the theater, so the music is hard to hear. At once point you yelled out to the audience, "Daddy take a picture of me!" You can't really hear it, but will hear the audience laugh after. Crank up your speakers!

Rockstar
Sienna's new passion has become singing but only if it's into a microphone. We discovered this one night while she was staying at my parents. They have a microphone that hooks into a guitar and out of nowhere she started performing for them, singing a song none of us have ever heard before. It goes something like this:
"I totally rock. Totally totally rockstar!" and repeats some version of that over and over. And then she makes you sing it into the microphone too. I've been trying to catch her moves on video, because of course she has some sassy hips and head shakes to go along with it. Here she is singing the song the other night sans sassy moves.
If anyone knows where this "totally rockstar" song is from I'd love to know! We're still clueless as to where she picked it up.

A Minnesota Girl at Heart
We spent the past 5 days down in Florida visiting Justin's dad, Rick. Lots of fun Disney pics to come but this video might be my favorite part of the trip.
From the minute we got down there, Rick tried so hard to get Sienna to say, "Go Packers!!" Every time she would repeat back (unprompted by me) "Go Vikings!!" One morning I came late to breakfast and Rick had convinced her that Vikings never win. She repeated it to me, very sadly. I reassured her that they do and from then on she was back on my side. She might have even uttered "Packers Suck!" a few times. I have no idea where she would have heard that...

It was family visit day last week at dance class, so Justin came to watch. Sienna was ecstatic to have both Mom & Dad at class. Here's a few clips from it.

Meet Our New Little Girl
Yep, you read it right! I was wrong again. Baby Jovle 2 is a girl!!! Can you believe it? It's starting to sink in more. I have to say I was really nervous going into this appointment. I knew how badly Justin wanted a boy and that there was still a good chance we could have a girl. Justin reassured me that either way he would be fine. And so we headed to the ultrasound.
The tech right away said she thought she knew what it was but wanted to get us a good picture to be sure. As she was poking around she called the baby sweetie and I knew it was a girl. She showed us THE shot and asked if we had a guess. I didn't see any boy parts but it was hard to tell what we were looking at. Then she labeled the screen with "It's a girl!"
Baby girl was very active. She jumped all over the place while we were looking. She also kept swallowing, opening and closing her mouth. It was very cool to see. The tech even made us a little video of it!
I am so excited for Sienna to have a sister. I don't think we could be giving her a better gift. Baby girl we are so excited to meet you! Now comes all the fun stuff like nursery decorating and picking out names.

Yoga
We were sitting around yesterday morning and Sienna started to do this routine. Took her a few times of doing it for me to realize she was doing yoga! I haven't confirmed, but she must have learned it at daycare. My favorite part is when she kicks her legs back. So cute!

Indecision
Where do kids pick up the things they say? I love it. Listen to this one.
If you didn't understand here's what she said.
S: Chair!!
M: Sienna, what do you want for a snack later?
S: Ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm Gogar
M: Yogurt?
S: Yeah
Anytime you ask her a question like that she'll say ummmmm and think for awhile. A lot of times ummmm is her only answer. So funny.

Moves like Jagger
Finally got Sienna dancing on video. Pretty much every time any type of music is played Sienna starts to dance. Didn't capture her booty shake but it's not done as often. I love that she loves dancing. Can't wait to get her in some classes and hope that she continues to love it. Oh and I also got her saying her 2nd favorite word "Uh Oh!" (No is her first favorite)

Chatterbox
Sienna,
You, my dear, have become quite the chatterbox. You are constantly mimicking words and noises. The other weekend when Auntie Cari walked in the room I said her name and you tried to repeat it. She was very excited to hear "Ca!" too.
A couple days ago I received my weekly email about your milestones for this age and it said you should have about 5 words and early talkers could have 20. This prompted your Dad and I to list all of the words you say and it was over 20, plus a few animal noises and "Choo Choo". I was surprised to see that you are ahead in this area but of course proud as any mom would be. My absolute favorite word that you say is "Cracker". So much that I had to record it. Any kind of salty snack you call cracker. I love it.
Of course there are a couple words that I'm not too excited about. "Mine" is the top one - really mine? At 14 months you are way too young to know that. We'll chalk that up to daycare. And also "No" is becoming a favorite. I can't wait to see what else you start picking up. We're going to have to start watching what we say.

Push N Go
It's been awhile since I've shown a video. Sienna still has a ways to go before she starts walking on her own. Until then she's been mastering her push behind toy.
It was a hot day. Pardon the diaper only outfit. :)

New Tricks
Cheesy parent video time! (you know you love them) Here's a minute and a half of Sienna and her latest tricks. She's waving, clapping, doing Soooo Big! and even saying a few Da Das at the end. I really need to try and use our tripod or sit back a little farther so I quit cutting off her head. :) One of these days I'll learn.

Music to my ears
I guess it's the week for videos!
Yesterday was my first day of summer hours at work. This year it came with a bit of bittersweetness. I have to leave so early that I don't get to wake up Sienna and get my few minutes of smiles and cuddles. I was really missing her yesterday. When I got home, Justin was heading out so we did a quick baby exchange and run down of her daily events. He also told me to be sure and watch the video on the camera!
Totally made my day and brought a huge smile to my face. Still does!

Pre-Crawling
Here's Sienna doing her version of crawling. I'm not sure exactly what you'd call this. Something between rolling and army crawling. Whatever it is, she can get where she wants...slowly!
And just because it's cute. Here's a few giggles.
