My mom really wanted me to put this pic up on the blog so here you go Mom! She really liked that hat (she did give that to her, as well as the bib)

Not a lot exciting has been happening on this end. I took Sienna outside a couple times this week to enjoy the nice weather. She spent most of the time with her face buried in my shoulder trying to avoid the gusts of wind. At least we tried. We are headed to FL in a couple weeks and hope to enjoy some actual warm weather there.

Cran and I have another blog in the works. We are creating a joint one that will be all about our gluten and dairy free lives including recipes we have tried out and product reviews. It's mostly for our own good to have everything organized and in one place. When it's ready to go I'll put the link up!

Rolling Fool

I think Sienna had a breakthrough. Up until now, she's been rolling when she feels like it. Bita said she usually does 1 roll per day. We haven't been getting any at home recently...until yesterday! I picked her up from daycare and was told all about how she rolled all day long. I was hoping she'd continue it at home and she did! 3 times in a row and we FINALLY caught one on video.

Sorry I didn't have time to edit the video, although the end got cut off when I uploaded it. I can tell you how it ends: she rolls back over and ends up on her back. Hopefully I didn't ruin it for you. ;)


Think she'll keep it up? Or was this a one day occurrence?

Winter Blahs

I had a dream about summer last night. There was sunshine, biking, roller blading, and lots of warmth. It was like a cruel joke when I woke up this morning to -9. I think I am officially ready for winter to be over. The 37 degree weather this weekend should help a bit. A little sad when that will feel so warm and good. :)

Cari's Baby Shower

This past week I have been busy getting ready for the upcoming weekend. It was filled with parties which was super fun, but also meant quite a bit of work. Saturday morning I hosted Cari's baby shower. We had 22 women from all different parts of Cari's life coming to celebrate.



I didn't do a very good job of photographing the event. I think I was too busy making sure everything was ready and everyone was happy. My favorite part was one of the games we play. I had bags labeled with the letters B-A-B-Y-S-H-O-W-E-R. In each bag was a baby item that started with the corresponding letter on the bag and you had to write down your guess. I wanted to make the items not too obvious but I think I went a little too hard since the winner only got 3 of the 10 right. Oops!!

Sienna also attended the shower. She did great being passed around from guest to guest and showed her big gummy smiles. She got so tired that she fell asleep while Great Aunt Dana was holding her in the middle of a group of people. It can still be exhausting to be the center of so much attention.
