Camera Fun

I got a new app for my phone called Camera Fun. It was one of Amazons free apps of the day. You can take pictures or modify old ones in all different modes. They have everything from sepia to thermal sensor to canvas to mirrors and many  more. It's pretty sweet. Here's a couple of my favorite modes.

Ody

My weekend was supposed to be full of fun fall family events. (Say that 3 times fast) I had intentions of enjoying the weather, going to an apple orchard, baking yummy treats, and enjoying some time with the 3 of us. All of that changed when Justin schedule his truck for an oil change at the Honda dealer and we went to go "look" at mini vans. Just like the time we went to go "look" at puppies - and came home with Conner. We've been talking about getting one for a long time and I knew the time of biting the bullet was near. Of course they had exactly what we wanted and after a long day of agonizing we did it.

Meet Ody the Odyssey.

Call me a soccer mom. I don't care. I am in love. This van is so great. It has all the space I could ever dream of. Seats 8. Fully loaded. Leather seats. Navigation. Everything I could ask for. Plus the best new car smell.

So poor Sienna spent most of her family time playing with us at a dealership. Lame. The weekend wasn't a complete fall loss. We did get a few moments playing in a leaf pile. (And how big does she look standing on her own!!)

Mallory help bury Sienna's legs. She wasn't too sure about the whole thing.

A Real Day In The Life Of…

I’ve seen a few blogs where they take a photo every hour of the day to capture what a true day in their life is like. I thought it sounded like fun so I decided to do it on Saturday. I figured no one wanted to see how boring my days are at work. :)

7:40 - Wake up! Sienna slept in today which was great since I was out late the night before.

8:30 – We took [probably] our last trip to the Farmers Market for the season. Let’s be real here, we didn’t actually buy anything at the market. I was wanting a doughnut and coffee so I used the market as an excuse to stop at my favorite bakery.

9:30 - Skyping with Papa, who’s in FL
IMAG0240

10:30 – Off to Lifetime for me while Justin works on tearing down the deck. Sweated it out with Bita, our day care provider. My usual class was canceled for a special Cardio Jam session which sampled a few of their classes. I have to say, I was not into the workout today but I sweated and hopefully burned off my doughnut.

11:40 – Sienna wakes up from her nap. She took a really long morning nap so now the schedule I had in my head for the day is completely gone.
IMAG0243

12:30 – Lunch time. I am finally showered and can be in a picture.
IMAG0244

1:50 – Sienna and I at Burnsville mall. She was NOT having the sales lady who was helping me in the dressing room. I wasn’t sure how successful this shopping trip was going to be, but once we left Vicki’s she was better.
IMAG0245

2:30 – Last stop; DSW. I love these boots but they didn’t have them in my size. Hoping to find them online or at another location.
IMAG0247

3:30 – Rewarding myself for getting my vacuuming done and enjoying Project Runway/Internet time (whose has time to do just 1 thing?) until Sienna wakes from her nap.
IMAG0251

4:40 – Sienna is finally up after another long nap. Enjoying a snack and figuring out what to do with the rest of the day. We decided it’s too cold for the little one to hit up Septembeer Fest at the neighbors up the street so we’ll be staying in.
IMAG0252

5:30 – One more outing for the day. A quick trip to Cub for groceries with the 3 of us. I’m starting to get tired of all the running around.
IMAG0253

7:00 - After dinner play time. Sienna was emptying the toy box.
IMAG0256

8:00 – Baby’s in bed. Time for a stay at home date night!!
IMAG0259

9:30 – No pic but I was to Googleing “Croup”. Sienna kept coughing in her crib and it was very barky. The long naps and unusually cranky baby for no reason is starting to add up.

10:30 – Bedtime and weary of a potentially long night if Sienna keeps getting worse. (Note: the humidifier seems to have done the trick and she slept great. Still no other symptoms but the cough when she sleeps)

Busy day but very typical for a weekend. Seems like we are always running around and trying to fit everything in. If you liked this post give it a try on your blog! It was pretty fun, even though Justin was rolling his eyes after the 2nd photo of the day.

Any guesses on how long until she's walking all over the place?

Fall harvest

With the freeze coming tonight, we hurriedly harvested all the vegetables we could from the garden. Another successful year! Looks like I'll be blanching edamame and wrapping green tomatoes all night tomorrow.

Butternut squash, cucumbers, acorn squash and peppers.

Tomatoes and edamame.

Sienna's First State Fair Day

Sienna got to experience the great MN get together with Mom, Grammy, and I.

We broke her in early and started the day by eating a big breakfast. Then it was off the the big yellow slide. She loves anything that goes fast and had a blast.

We headed off to the barns to see all the animals. Got her an oink booth hat. She was enthralled with all the animals and noises they made. Grammy even got her to baaaa with the sheep.

She tried her first cheese curd and clearly was in love. :)

Nana took her on her first carousel ride. She was not too sure about it and clung to Nana the entire time.

In typical Sienna fashion, the fair wore her out and she finished the day with a nap.

All in all a very successful day! I can't wait to see her next year; as she running away from me in every direction. Don't judge if I'm one of those parents with the harness and leash :)
