So inappropriate

but oh so funny. Can't stop giggling.

I guess it was a toy that used to be made. "Mattel changed the doll after approximately 100 percent of the boys who picked up the toy started making Tarzan jerk off within about 10 seconds."

Pregnancy

I get questions all the time of how are you feeling, what are you craving etc, so I thought I might as well post the latest for everyone to see. Some cravings are starting to kick in. Fruit has sounded good for awhile now but last week I had a deep mango craving.

That lasted until I tasted watermelon on Sunday. Wow talk about refreshing, juicy, and delicious! I am loving being pregnant when all the fresh fruit is starting to come into season.

The other completely different food that I'm loving is popcorn! It's funny because I would eat popcorn before if it was around but never had the desire to make it myself...ever. Now I want it every night for a snack - especially with a few M&M's poured over the top. mmm mmmm!

I think overall my pregnancy has been pretty easy compared to many other people I have seen and heard about. Of course it's definitely not all roses and has it moments when I want to be done, NOW. There are a few things that I'm really missing:

Wine of course

Rollerblading - I'm dying to take a spin around our block. Although one look at that hill and I know I'd get halfway up and my lungs would be screaming.

Kickball!!

My general physical shape. I have a hard time not overdoing it and forgetting that I need to take it easy on myself. It leads mostly to back pain, sometimes calf pain, and then me being crabby.

With bad there is always good and my absolute favorite thing about being pregnant is feeling Baby Girl move/swim/kick. It's such a unique feeling. Even as she was kicking my bladder (not a pleasant feeling) yesterday I couldn't help but smile and feel lucky. Is that what it's like when they come out and you finally get to meet them? I can only imagine.

Niece Updates

We went down to WI last weekend to visit Amanda, Travis, and Izzy. Izzy's about 20 months now but you sure wouldn't know it from her size and talking! Her favorite thing in the world is Dora. She had everything from a Dora nightgown, to Dora sheets, and of course a few Dora dolls. Always quite the cutie and loves to ham it up for the camera.

Whose there?

Milestones

Baby Girl hit a big milestone last night! I felt the first real kick or punch. I was lounging on my couch trying to get comfortable when she started moving all over. I pressed a bit on my belly and she punched me! It surprised the crap out of me. No idea really if it was a kick or a punch but I thought her head was down where my hand was...not that I really know. Could be her butt. Of course I had Justin run over to try and feel her but she went back to sleep right after that. Hopefully soon he'll be able to feel one too. I assumed her punch meant that she was hungry for pudding and of course had to oblige. :)

Veggie Time!

I was so excited the other day when I came home from work. Justin reported that our asparagus has started growing in the garden and it looks like it's going to be edible this year!! I know most asparagus says it takes a couple years before you can eat it. The stuff we bought said it's usually ready by year 2 to eat. Last year they were long stalks with flowers. Looked more like weeds. And this year...

Far away view – ignore all those weeds. They are thriving too :(

We also started some veggies indoors the other weekend – tomatoes, peppers, and herbs. They are coming along very well minus the cilantro. I just can’t get that stuff to take off!

Stressed

That's how I've felt for the past week ever since we found out about Baby Girl. Before we moved forward with any other part of this process we were waiting to make sure she was healthy and to find out what colors we should be shopping for. I think since that is past I feel like I need to get everything done NOW! Trying to relax a little about it but there's so much to do. We did make some progress last night and picked out bedding and bathroom theme. Check it out.

Bedding was quite the challenge. It came down to this set and one other one that was super cute too. This set won out because it had more colors in it and would be easier to do fun wall colors with.

Bathroom we didn't have as many opinions about. We just wanted something fun and again with good colors to paint.

Now who wants to come help paint some rooms? :)

Arizona

I’ve been a little MIA from the blog this past week because I was in AZ visiting my parents forever friends Roger & Sue and also seeing the new house my parents bought! Since the house is so new they didn’t have any furniture in it. We did some shopping around but didn’t buy too much. We spent most of the weekend lounging around in the sun. The weather was perfect in the upper 70s and low 80s. Can’t ask for better than that!

Backyard view from the house we stayed at (Roger & Sue’s) So beautiful! I spent a lot of time reading my Nook here.

Tangelo tree in my parents backyard. The fruit wasn’t great but the juice it made was excellent!
